Hey so, this is a pretty nice craft show held yearly at the Warrensburg Community Center.
It's November 2nd, and involves a lot of holiday themed crafts. It's mostly cute crafts in general, lots of knitted things and jewelry if I recall right, and then in the midst of all that there's quite a bit of steampunk!
I'm not so sure about this one considering a booth costs $50, but it certainly seemed worth mentioning. (It's only $35 for members of the Mid-Missouri craft club people, but I'm not entirely sure if they consider me a member or not.)
If we are interested, we need to submit a for by October 25th.
Regardless if we have a booth or not, I would still recommend you check it out!

I know I've said so before in our last meeting, but as long as my classes don't get in the way I'd love to be a part of this with you guys. I can make some stuff with my cg drawings and lamination machine, but I think I'd like to give more focus to my embroidery work. If anyone could sew, it'd be great if they could turn my simple embroidered pieces of cloth into something nicer or more useful. It'd be great if anyone wanted to provide some stuff for displaying goods too, I bet, because laying on a table works fine, but an actual display doesn't hurt at all.

Embroidery sounds awesome, especially for a place like the mid Missouri craft show! The lamination machine sounds potentially handy as well. I'm not sure how to go about doing it exactly, but if I remember right quite a few people were selling Christmas ornaments, so embroidered Christmas ornaments would be cute. Ah yes the display is a good thing to keep in mind, but I do not have anything of the sort unfortunately. I suppose we'll cross that bridge when we get to it and know what exactly we're selling.
If we can get lots of members to pitch in a bit of money for the booth it's looking like a pretty realistic option. There's also the UCM craft fair that comes up near Christmas, and it proooobably doesn't charge student organizations for booths, but I unfortunately I do not have any info on it yet.
