Hopefully we will have more resources posted soon, but cosplay.com, particularly the forums - www.cosplay.com/forum.php - is a good place to explore and find tutorials and whatnot from! Which characters do you have in mind?

The ones I want to do by the end of the school year are Len Kagemine and genderbent Patchouli Knowledge. The Len one is going to be hard as balls to make on my own >.<

Len cosplayers are super cute. Unless you want to go all out sewing from scratch, I think buying a school boy uniform and doing alterations to it could be a possibility? I'm pretty new to cosplay myself, unfortunately! I had a lot of help with the Nurse Joy cosplay from my sewing master of a grandmother, and my Roxy cosplay was more a matter of just collecting certain clothes, contacts, and wig styling. I'm not too awful at the wig styling and make up aspects, but sewing is a challenge!

buying pre-made clothing and altering to fit the character is a GREAT way to get started in cosplay! i really recommend trying that route for the initial construction of the outfit.

I was just going to say the same thing as cautiousamber : / Ren will be difficult, unless you just want to make a few small modicfications and not try to get all the details correct, but I'm wondering how you'll do a genderbent Patchouli considering how feminine her clothing is. White jacket and puffy pants with a hat and a moon pin? XD (Not rhetorical; I'm honestly curious.)

Patchouli pretty much wears pajamas, so I thinking about going for a big purple shirt, some purple sweats/shorts, and a night cap like this www.funfancydress.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/S/A/SANC_3331.jpg (in purple obviously) and then just add some ribbons, moons, ect. where needed. I figure it's not a hard cosplay to do, and even though it's simple, it can still look pretty cool I actually originally had an idea that involved a vest, top hat,and pinstriped pants but I think that my imagination got the best of me with that lol.
