As I many of you may already know, fanfic stands for fan fiction, and ficrec stands for fiction recommendation - more specifically a fanfiction recommendation.
In this category, you man post your own fanfiction or recommend some of your favorites.
Regarding fanfiction with mature content
You are allowed to post mature content, so long as it is linked to somewhere outside the forum and has an very clear, obvious warning.
This is mostly regarding 18+ material or material with graphic gore/violence.
Regarding curse words
Give a warning. You do not necessarily need to link it to somewhere outside of the forums.
